High Heating/Cooling Bills? Get Radiant Barrier Insulation!

Are your electric, heating, air conditioning or gas bills out of this world? Do you feel like you are paying more than you should be? There could be a solution to this! Many people have no idea that they are paying more because heat or cool air is getting into their house, and their heater or air conditioner is having to work overtime to compensate for it. If you have an attic, the problem is probably that you do not have good insulation between the attic and your house. What's a way to fix this? Radiant Barrier Insulation!

Radiant Barrier Insulation is a material that can help contain heat or cool air that is seeping into your house. This type of insulation is a thin sheet with either one reflective side, or two reflective sides. When using this insulation, you need to make sure that the reflective side is up towards the area where the heat or cool air is coming from, or else it will not work. The reflective side is usually aluminum and this metal helps reflect the emissions coming into the room from getting into your house.

How do you get Radiant Barrier Insulation in your house? Well, there are two ways, just like any home project. You can get someone to come install it, or you can install it yourself! Each insulation sheet comes in a square foot. You will lie these sheets over the insulation you already have. Because this insulation is so strong, it should stop a lot of the heat or cool air. However, having extra insulation is always good.

Radiant Barrier Insulation is relatively cheap for people who may be concerned about the costs. Usually the price will run from about $0.15-$0.30. If you are getting insulation for your roof, sometimes the price is cheaper and around $0.12. Also, it could be cheaper for a new construction building as opposed to an existing home. It is easier to put in on new construction.

It really is time to look at other options for lowering your heating and cooling bills. Radiant Barrier Insulation is an effective, easy, and affordable choice!

So many insulation choices. They all seem really good and great energy savers which is the way I really want to go. Anything I can do to my home to save energy is a plus. It will also be supporting the global warming drive which I believe in very strongly.
